So you are saying that players should choose UL because Pitino won a title 15 years ago and has 20 plus years coaching at majors? |

While you're at it, go ahead and compare resumes between Calipari and Pitino. It speaks for itself. |

When did Pitino coach in CUSA? It would have only been a couple of years if at all.

Pitinos had a combined 17 years at a traditional top 3 and top 10 program.
Caliparis had one. And if you wanna compare first years at Kentucky it's not even close. |

Also, Memphis is a pretty accomplished school. It isn't like Calipari put them on the map. They had 2 final fours and 3 Elite 8's before Calipari got there and they were a fixture in the top 20 in the 1980's. It really just comes down to the fact that Pitino has had much more success in 23 years as a head coach in the NCAA than Cal has in his 18. I'm sorry you two are struggling with that fact. Maybe Cal can buy you a championship sometime soon. |

Lmao. You can ignore the fact that it's not as easy to win at Memphis and Umass than it is at Louisville and Kentucky all you want but you're not fulling anyone else. And taking that even further it's obviously easier to win at Kentucky than it is at UofL.
How else would you explain Pitino not even coming class to matching the success he had Kentucky in 9 years at Louisville. All jobs are not equal. And Pitinos had better opportunities untill now. And although we weren't on probation when Cal took over we weren't exactly flourishing either. Taking into account the situation he walked into Cal had the best first year on the job in the history of our program. Maybe in the history of the sport. |

The fact that Pitino has had "better opportunities" doesn't change the fact that Cal has done very little to deserve the praise you're throwing at him nor does it change the fact that Cal's resume is no where on the same planet as Pitino's. Sorry kiddo, keep hoping and praying that Saint Cal will lead you to something other than probation. |

I'm not worshipping anyone. Just putting his first year at Kentucky in perspective. All things considered he did a phenomenal job last season. The lone blemish was the loss to WVU.
It's hard to win the tournament though just ask coach K, dean smith and Roy Williams. All three are considered great coaches. 3 of the top coaches of all time but those three guys have also come up short in the tournament more often than not. Bill Self is another guy that's considered to be one of if not the best bench coach in the game AND a great recruiter yet more often than not he's been sent packing by an inferior opponent. I'd even go so far as to say he's suffered three of the more embarrasing tourney losses in the last decade. And yeah I'm hoping Cal will get a few titles before he leaves here. That's all I can do. I feel pretty good about it though. |

Few people truly respect Calipari as a coach while most admit he is the best recruiter in college basketball. Now, how does a guy who is a mediocre coach continually get the best talent in the country, regardless of whether it's Memphis or Kentucky, year after year?

Good example of what I was talking about in the other thread. Just say it over and over again and it when it turns out false just ignore it and then make something else up. Hard to lose that way. |

As far as "head coach at Hawaii", that's a gross overstatement. He was the interim head coach for part of a season after being a graduate assistant the year before and only led Hawaii for SIX games total. You really should try using facts one of these days. |

I hope you don't misrepresent facts in court like this. Unbelievable you're trying to spin it that way.
